In the 1970s and 1980s, the traditional way of life in Brittany was gradually disappearing. If the tourist and folkloric image of Brittany only lingered on the surface of things, Thersiquel sought first to gain the trust and the respect of the Bigoudens, a community who still lived in a rigorous simplicity.
